Without seeing a picture or seeing you in person, it is impossible to give you an informed answer. However, if you have loose skin, you may also need a breast lift at the same time as the implants. In our office we offer VECTRA 3D imaging to hope you see the different surgical possibilities on your own body.
Thank you for your question. Skin elasticity is an importantfactor to consider when it comes to breast augmentation. In some cases, animplant can lead to bottoming and other problems in a patient with low tomoderate skin elasticity. In other cases, a breast lift with implants may be abetter option. I recommend setting up a consultation with a board certifiedplastic surgeon to discuss your options. Best of luck!
It’s important that you see an experienced board certified plastic surgeon in-person so that they may assess the quality of your skin. If skin elasticity is an issue and your breasts are sagging, then a breast lift would probably be a better option for you. The weight of the implants can make sagging worse.
Dear KayBulmer,it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
Without examing you, it is difficult to accurately answer your question. In general, inelastic skin is not a contraindication to getting implants. If you have a skin laxity or excess skin problem, however, implants alone may be not adequate to correct it. Partial skin removal , or tightening, such as a breast lift , may be necessary. Consult an experienced breast surgeon to discuss your options.
The elasticity of your skin is not as important as the grade of ptosis of your breast is. If the grade of ptosis is minimal or there is no ptosis at all, you can get breast implants without any problem. On the other hand, if you have breast ptosis you can combine breast implants with breast lift. If I had some photos of your breast it would be much more helpful in order to give a more reliable answer.
hello thank you for your question and provided information as well.. based in your question its difficult evaluate you if the case dont have a picture, my recommendation is get a consultation in person with a plastic surgeon to discuss all about theme.
Without a physical exam or even photos it is hard to give you the most precise response. If the lack of skin elasticity is from weight loss, a lift with conservative sized implants placed under the muscle would be a good option.
Depending upon your exam, implants alone may give the results you desire. Usually, if skin elasticity is poor, a breast lift is added. An exam and consultation with a plastic surgeon is recommended to discuss your options and expectations.
You may still be a candidate for breast implants if your skin elasticity isn’t good. However, depending on the degree of elasticity, adding a breast lift may be recommended to remove the excess skin.A visit to a plastic surgeon's office will help you to understand if you're a candidate for the procedure, and what aesthetic outcomes are realistic in your particular case. In order to get a qualified, ethical, and expert opinion on your surgical options and expectations, always schedule an in-person office consultation with a plastic surgeon certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.Best of luck,Keith M. Dear E_Mare95,Breast implant type and sizing selection is a complicated process and requires a detailed consultation that includes a discussion of your goals, a detailed examination, and a lengthy discussion. But the decision will always start and end with the patient. When it comes to sizing, w...
The distance between the two implants is quite small. This makes the breast look a natural. For the large volume you chose a different profile with a smaller diameter implant might be a better choice to prevent dissecting the pocket to receive the implant beyond the normal anatomic borders of...
Hello,Your implants were much too large for your anatomic capacity. When this is the case, either the surgeon 'lowers your fold' leaving you with a double bubble and pockets that need to be reconstructed, or not, leaving you with high positioned implants. You are latter category, fortunately. At...
Thank you for your question. It is best to have an in person evaluation to determine what it is that is going on. Based on the information, it could just be a muscle spasm because you are exercising and contracting that muscle. Another possibility would a capsular contracture. I would suggest...
Hi there, Those veins in the pictures are likely from years of the implant compressing in the breast tissue - causing the veins to be more dilated and noticeable. Usually benign and not affiliated with any ‘rupture’ of implant. But if you feel that you might have a rupture - MRI of the bre...
