So my next question is whether you were injecting Botox yourself and if so how many units were you using? It’s very important to always see a board-certified physician for any cosmetic procedures. If this does actually represent an area of atrophy then further injections of Botox would be expected to make the area worse, not better. Another consideration is whether this represents a disorder of connective tissue called localized scleroderma, also known as morphea. On the forehead, this can cause a well demarcated atrophic area called Coup de Sabre. In summary, please see a board certified dermatologist for further evaluation and management.
