Is this bleeding and scabbing normal after V Beam PDL for port wine stain? (Photo)

This was a few years ago; there was scabbing and bleeding for a week and it took almost three weeks to completely heal. I have not had a treatment since. I was told at the time this was excessive but would like more input.
