I had a wide local excision done on my wrist 3 years ago to remove a mole diagnosed as a possible melanoma in situ, leaving about a one-inch scar. The area around the wrist remains pink and turns red to purple-ish during exercise, although it blanches under pressure and in the shower. I am wondering if Vbeam laser treatments can remove the discoloration at this point, or if I waited too long. At a followup last year, the surgeon told me the scar had reached its final appearance. Thanks.
