I applied a 40% lactic acid peel over open wound (just a scab from a pimple) and now have discoloration, will it fade? (Photo)

What happened was I applied 40% lactic acid peel on my face 4 times successfully before the 5th time which I applied it over an open wound (just a healing pimple, was actually small) and then I noticed I got purple hyperpigmentation there now. Its not very deep at all but the color is strong, It's been 2 weeks now and im wanted to know if it would it be safe and helpful to apply vitamin c serum on it? Will the color fade? Thank you so much, it's causing me much stress please help if you can.
