I am sorry to hear about the problem you are experiencing. Costs of this type of surgery will vary from one practice to another and will depend mainly on exactly what procedure is being performed. For example, some patients who have breast implants removed will also require capsulectomy and/or breast lifting performed at the same time. Additional procedures performed (if necessary), requiring additional time, will likely increase costs. It is important in order to regain your health and not have complications, to have the entire capsule removed along with appropriate antibiotics and sometimes antifungals as the biofilm around the implant can contain both.  Most surgeons are not very familiar with treatment of the biofilm at the level.  The cost of explantation is usually around $6000 for the average case although costs may increase if the explantation take longer than the usual time as OR and anesthesia fees are based on time.
