Hi, I'm getting my breast augmentation in 3 weeks. I am currently deciding between the round smooth implants and the Ergonomix shaped implants. I don't know what implant goes well for me. I have tubular breasts so it's a bit different for me. I also am contemplating the size im looking between 470-530cc. I want a D cup. The last two pics are the looks/proportions I'm kind of going for. Please help!
Answer: Motiva Implants The Ergonomix have a softer gel which assumes an anatomic or teardrop shape with gravity. The round implants are slightly firmer and give more upper pole fullness and cleavage. In your cases either implant would look good and if you want a softer more natural look then go with Ergonomix or if you want more roundness and cleavage go with the round ones.

Answer: Implant questions Thank you for your question. It seems that you might be a little confused about the Motiva Ergonomix and Round implants. Both of these implants are round devices - the Ergo takes on the appearance of a more anatomically shaped implant due to the slightly more compliant shell and somewhat less cohesive gel. The Motiva Round is a firmer, more form stable device that maintains a good bit more upper pole fullnes than the Ergo. Based on your photos, it appears that you have a mildly constricted lower pole. I'd say you're barely tubular. It's hard to say based on pics what size you should choose, but hopefully your surgeon has 3d imaging and/or sizers to help you decide. It appears you prefer a more sculpted, augmented look with definite upper pole roundness, so I'd lean Motiva Round for you vs Ergo. Good luck!

Answer: Navigating Breast Augmentation: Considerations for Tubular Breasts and Implant Selection It’s great to hear that your breast augmentation is just around the corner! Here are some considerations to help you decide between round smooth implants and Ergonomix shaped implants, especially given your tubular breast shape: Understanding Implant Shapes: Round Smooth Implants: These implants provide fullness in the upper pole and can create a more dramatic look. They tend to be versatile and can work well for various breast shapes, including tubular breasts, while providing a more rounded appearance.Ergonomix Shaped Implants: These implants are designed to mimic the natural slope of the breast and may provide a softer look. They can be a great option if you desire a more natural contour and fullness in the lower pole.Tubular Breast Considerations: With tubular breasts, it’s essential to choose an implant that not only meets your size goals but also complements your unique anatomy. Round implants may help achieve more projection and fullness, while Ergonomix implants could offer a more natural shape as they settle. Size Selection: Choosing between 470-530cc depends on how much projection and volume you want. It may be beneficial to try on sizers in your surgeon’s office to get a better idea of how different sizes will look and feel on your frame, especially as you aim for a D cup. Consultation with Your Surgeon: Discuss your aesthetic goals and concerns with your surgeon, particularly how the shape of the implant might influence your overall appearance given your tubular breast shape. They can provide insights and recommendations based on their experience and knowledge of your specific anatomy. Visualizing Results: Since you have specific looks in mind based on the last two pictures you shared, it can be helpful to bring those references to your consultation. This visual guidance can help your surgeon understand your desired outcome and choose the best implant type and size to achieve it. With careful consideration and collaboration with your surgeon, you’ll be well-equipped to make a choice that aligns with your aesthetic goals.

Answer: Implant size and type Dear stephg1120, breast implant type and sizing selection is a complicated process and requires a detailed consultation that includes a discussion of your goals, a detailed examination, and a lengthy discussion. But the decision will always start and end with the patient. When it comes to sizing, we have all of our patients find 3 photos of their desired breast size. We ask for naked breast photos because clothing can obscure the true size (push up bras). Next, we consult with patients and go over the photos and take detailed breast measurements during a physical exam. Next, we using a sizing algorithm to determine a range of implants that will work based on the exam and the measurements.Lastly, during the operation, we use silicone sizers in the operating room to see how the size actually looks in the breast. We sit the patient up in the operating room, while asleep of course, and compare the sizer result with their desired look photos. If it is too small, we start the process over with a slightly larger implant. We don't stop until we get the perfect match.Of all of my breast augmentation patients, every one of them has been happy with their size due to this detailed and meticulous process. You don't want to invest time and money into a result that is either too big or too small. You should discuss your concerns with a board-certified plastic surgeon and make sure that your surgeon understands your goals. Answer: Guessing No one knows what implant is necessary to achieve a D cup for you or anyone else. Similarly, no one knows what implant is necessary to achieve the look of your goal photos. Instead, get sized in the doctor's office with purpose built sizers and decide based on how you look in the mirror. Having such a short nipple to fold distance will make such a large implant likely to cause double bubble or dropout. As for implants, Ergonomix is an implant by Motiva, which is not available in the US yet. You indicate you are from California, but maybe not? Regardless, Ergonomix is a round implant, as is their other model, the Round. It's confusing, I know, but neither are shaped.
