What are the differences? Are motiva implants safe? Which one of these implants is the teardrop gummy bear implant?
Answer: What are the differences between Motiva and anatomical breast implants? The outcome of surgery is far more dependent on the surgeon than the implant manufacturer. Take the time to research your choice. There should be many board certified plastic surgeons in your area.

Answer: Motiva Implants I am one of the surgeon investigators involved in the FDA Motiva trial that closed enrollment in 2019. Motiva implants offer two 'models', the 'Round' and the 'Ergonomix'. BOTH are round implants, the Round is a firmer more cohesive implant compared to the Ergonomix. Both are safe with over 1 million patients and a decade of use worldwide. They are not yet FDA approved, although it is anticipated they will be in the near future (2 to 3 years?).

Answer: Motiva and Anatomical Implants Motiva is a brand of implant, like Mentor and Allergan. "Gummy Bear" is a gel implant with a more cohesive gel that all modern implants are filled with. All manufacturers make an anatomical implant. My advice: don't shop the implant, shop the surgeon with the results and demeanor you like.

Answer: Implant size and type Dear theenergizerbunnyonazuciara, I recommend you have this discussion in person with a plastic surgeon because everyone's breasts are different but generally speaking the shaped gummy bear implants will allow more upper pole breast fullness but can diminish the amount of cleavage. I typically don't recommend these unless you have very small breasts to begin with or have had a mastectomy. I see no advantage to a round form stable implant. Generally if you want a round implant its best to not go with a form stable implant to allow more natural look and feel. Form stable implants are much more firmer. I carry all sizes and types of implants in my office to allow my patients to get a better sense for their implant choice. Answer: Implant type and shape Dear theenergizerbunnyonazuciara, Motiva is a brand, and gummy bear implant refers to the implant type.Breast implants have an outer shell that surrounds a filler material. The latter can be silicone or sterile saltwater.Early silicone implants contained a form of silicone that could leak and disseminate into adjacent tissues if the implant ruptured. Modern implants have a cohesive silicone gel that is a more solid "gummy bear-like" material that tends to stick together and retains its shape even if the implant shell ruptures. There are varying levels of cohesiveness like highly cohesive implants including form-stable implants known as "gummy bear implants", available in anatomical (teardrop) and round shapes. All brands have round and anatomical implants.I would suggest that you discuss this further with your plastic surgeon. All the best
