Slimmer face/V-Line. What will be suitable for me? (Photo)

Question

Hello, My lower face looks squared and heavy. I want to achieve a more feminine V-line shape. I don’t think my squared face is a result of my bone structure (as you can see when I pull up the skin). I am not sure what will be suitable for me? Botox in masseters, buccal fat pad removal (although I really don’t like that hollowed cheek look), liposuction, PDO thread Lift? A surgeon in Korea thought I was a suitable candidate for a facelift. I am 21.

Facial shaping/slimming procedures are very common. Some patients can benefit from Botox, FaceTite, NeckTite, microliposuction, fillers, RF treatments and other surgical and non-invasive procedures but the key is to know why the face is not V-Shaped or slim. Interesting Question! First, I would probably not start with a facelift at your age. Especially when we have such amazing filler techniques to improve the shape of a face which includes thinning the face, making the face appear more heart-shaped and narrowing the chin area.

Botox is definitely the least invasive option.  Looking at your pictures, there seem to be a skeletal issue underneath.  Your chin is deviated to your left and the bite seem to be slanted.  Once a complete exam is performed, then may consider all above options as you mentioned or harmonizing the jaw position for better symmetry.

Treating the lower face with Botox or Dysport can be a great way to slim the face. Injections into the masseter muscles can alter the face of the shape giving it more of a v-line shape, while also helping to accentuate the cheekbones, and when combined with filler treatment create a well-defined jawline. Treatment with Botox/Dysport is noninvasive and has very little downtime.

Thanks for the question - It's a bit difficult to tell whether masseter injections would benefit you from the pictures as you'll need to have a physical exam to see if they are enlarged and would respond to botox. If that is not the case you might benefit from a jawline reshape with fillers to begin with before considering surgery later.
