Can it be fixed? I have this line going down my forehead. I think it's a vein, but it's an indent, not a bulge. Like something WAS there, but is now gone. I'm ready to do something about it, but what? I've had Botox in the past and loved the results, but don't know if Botox would have any effect on this line. Would Botox help it? I'll be honest I'm not crazy about the idea of having a vein removed...doesn't my body need this vein? Could the vein be left there and filler put in the indent? I'm 49, 120 lbs.

Answer: Vertical forehead line I'm not sure what this is but filler might be able to improve this. I would use cannulas and diluted Defyne place on the periosteum to elevate this area. If still not completely gone, superficial small aliquots of Refyne will also improve, provided that this is not a vessel. Small vessels in the forehead can be treated with a 1064 laser, such as the Excel V laser.

Answer: Frontal vein The vertical midline vein on the forehead, or frontal vein, may bulge, may be flat and invisible or collapsed with a visible groove. If you see indentation of the collapsed vein look at it in horizontal position or when straining. It all depends on venous pressure. Straining, caughting or laying down will increase the venous pressure making vein to expand and bulge. If the groove bothers you enough to consider intervention one could greatly improve it with numerous microinjections of filler in strategic locations withou the need for injecting filler along the entire groove. Good luck!
