There could be a number of reasons for your skin feeling thick after microneedling. The purpose of microneedling is to injure the dermis to stimulate it to make new collagen. Anytime you injure the dermis the body reacts and you get some swelling that will make the skin thicker and firmer. If you did this at home, which I suspect you did since you did it at night, the devices used at home are different from those available to physicians and cause more damage than necessary and, thus, create more swelling, so the skin will feel more thick and stiff. It will heal in time and the changes will resolve.
Hello and thank you for your question. It can be normal to experience skin irritation after micro needling. You should have been provided with some aftercare products to use on the skin which can help settle the skin. I hope that answers your question and please always seek a qualified and experienced medical professional for treatment, best wishes
