I'm 30 year old and in general I don't need too many treatments. My skin is ok! I just want to rejuvenate it. And later get rid of redness. I can't treat redness and rejuvenate the skin at the same time? What's your take? What should I start first?

Answer: Removing facial redness I suggest having a few in person consultations with local dermatologist. For overall skin health my number one recommendation is to wear sunscreen every day and avoid excessive sun exposure. In regards to the treatments I suggest discussing this during consultations and seeing which ones you like. They’re not going to give you permanent changes so it’s a matter of maintenance and therefore trying different treatments may be worthwhile. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD

Answer: Rejuvenating Skin in a 30 Year Old One of the biggest misconceptions is that you need "treatments" to rejuvenate or maintain your skin. Most of this is fostered by practitioners who make money off the treatments and, thus, encourage their use. What you needed to this point was good skin care. That is a good cleanser, a pH balancer (I prefer Vitamin-C Serum as it also does other things), an exfoliant, and a good zinc oxide sunblock. Now that you are 30 and your skin stops making new collagen and elastic tissue, you also need retinol or tretinoin (Retin-A) to stimulate collagen production and Obagi's ELASTIderm to stimulate elastic tissue production, both to keep your skin from crinkling or wrinkling.
