Why is my skin darkening around the mouth after chemical peel? (photo)

It have been a week and my skin is slowly peeling but I noticed darken spots on my face and I want to know if they are permanent and how long should it take. It is mostly around the mouth area. It started getting dark this past weekend. I used sunscreen if i had to go outside. It itches and I have been using a blah face wash.

There are many different types of chemical peels that would not use salicylic acid.  There are also lasers that can be used to help with pore size, brown spots and wrinkles.  You would need to be evaluated in person to determine the best course of treatment for your skin.
