Too much skin cut? Left is before the surgery. Right is 14 days after my full incision double eyelid surgery.

I very much regret getting the surgery as I feel I actually look older and very different.  I decided to do the surgery was because my dropping eyelids. Tried to put the eyeliner on today (14 days after the surgery).  Oh man, I looked scary.  The doctor told me the gap will decrease by 1/4.  I was hoping I could be back to the way I was. I was wondering if too much skin was cut? and why the crease was so deep? and If the gap could shrink more than just 1/4.

It is not common to have pain after non incision upper eyelid surgery but I have seen a couple of patients during my practice years. It usually subsides within 4 weeks and I believe it is due to non visible bruise. I believe you can have this problem resolved quicker by warm compress...

As a twelve days post operation your recovery is excellent. Lid crease is pretty symmetrical and would healing is very good. As healing progress the crease size is getting smaller. As far as ptosis concern left eye show somewhat slow response. You can watch how it improves and it is too...

Unable to give you accurate answers without examination or photos. You are still early in the healing period. Best to communicate with your surgeon. Massaging and squinting exercises can help. Need to wait at least 3 months.
