How long does it take an Asian Eyelid surgery to recover? (Photo)

I had a double eyelid surgery, ptosis and medial epicanthoplasty 12 days ago. I am not sure if my eyes are still swollen or it's fat on my eyelids. However, my eyes appear to be asymmetrical. My main concern is the crease. I am not sure if the creases will get thinner.

Significant swelling is normal and to be expected after Asian eyelid surgery, especially if an incisional technique was used.  Once the initial swelling resolves in 1-3 months the crease (if properly created during surgery) should become better defined.

As a twelve days post operation your recovery is excellent. Lid crease is pretty symmetrical and would healing is very good. As healing progress the crease size is getting smaller. As far as ptosis concern left eye show somewhat slow response. You can watch how it improves and it is too early to do any revision at this time. 
It will get better and be patient.

Hi greetings from the UK. Yes Swelling can persist and typically I inform my patients that although 80% of the swelling should have resolved typically by 3 months, significant swelling can persist for several months afterwards especially with incisional techniques. Thus asymmetry is not that uncommon at all at 12 days like your case. Rest assured most of the asymmetry and swelling will self improve. Try not to worry and be patient about it.
