Thank you for your question! For my patients having a BBL procedure, I recommend they stay completely off of their buttocks for the first 10 days post surgery, then start using the BBL pillow for 3 additional weeks. At 6 weeks post op, there are no sitting restrictions and it is ok to sit directly on your buttocks. I recommend discussing specific post op instructions with your plastic surgeon. Best of luck!
The best answer will come from the PS who performed your BBL as he/she will be aware of your recovery.I recommend that my patients minimize sitting, even with a pillow, for the first two weeks. If they must sit, every 30 minutes or an hour, they should get up and stand for a few seconds to take the pressure off. This reduces the chance for fat necrosis. I usually recommend about 6 weeks before sitting without a pillow. After 6 weeks the fat has revascularized, and they will have a very good idea of their final results. Hello dear!!Thanks for the question and provided information as well. I recommend my patients to use the booty pillow for 2-3 weeks, and after that, to limit the sitting time to 1 hr. and then stand up to release pressure. If you have any concerns, i suggest you to follow up close with your plastic surgeon.Good luck :)
Kenasia,You must ask your surgeon. But I allow my patients to sit on their buttocks after 4 weeks.Best of luck with your healing.Dr T

I always am happy to hear from my patients, and encourage them to call me with any worries or concerns. So, yes, call your doctor. And, secondly, don’t worry at this point. Lumps or irregularities are common. Gentle massage and time should help smooth these areas out. Best of luck!
