I usually see patients at one week, at 1 month, 3 months, 6 months and a year. Don't get lost to follow up! If you are doing well, after a month, some doctors will follow patients at a distance with Skype. Explore.
Thank you for your question. Best to check with your plastic surgeon regarding his/her policy on post operative visits. I normally see my mommy makeover patients 3-5 times during the first two weeks following surgery and then up to 5-7 additional visits for the next year.Best of luck to you,
Thank you for your question. This should be addressed with your surgeon specifically, as each has his or her own preference regarding the matter. All the best,Dr. ResultsMiami, FL
In my own practice I see patients fairly frequently. In the first two weeks usually three visits and afterwards a week or so at a time until the patients are six weeks out. They are free to come to the office is often as they wish.
Follow-up appointment intervals vary depending on your plastic surgeon preferences and how extensive your surgery will be. In general, you will need to follow-up in 1 week after your procedure and usually your drains are removed in 2 weeks. If everything is going well, some times the follow-up can be spread out. You want to discuss this with your plastic surgeon prior to surgery. #PlasticSurgery #MommyMakeover #TummyTuck #Liposuction #BreastAug
This question is best answered by your surgeon as opinions can vary greatly. In addition to regularly scheduled follow up visits there will be additional visits should any complications or questions arise. Your surgeon may be able to work with you for some of the visits by having them via video conference.
Every surgeon uses a different follow up schedule based on your recovery and distance to travel. Drains and sutures need to be removed, but a lot of the follow up can be conducted over the phone and internet.Good Luck!
Thank you for your question. I completely agree with Dr. Morea in that you should check with your plastic surgeon as all surgeon's differ on how often they see patients post-operatively. In my office I see them the very next day after surgery, then generally 3-4 more times after that in the next few weeks -- then throughout the year in approximately three month intervals. I hope this is helpful. -Brian S. Coan, MD, FACS
Thank you for your question! Follow up schedules vary from surgeon to surgeon. I like to see my patients post-op day 1, day 7-10, day 10-14, 1 month, 3 months and 6 months. Patients who have more questions are welcome to come in at any time. For my out of town patients I encourage them to come by when they are in town and also offer a Saturday appointment to help with travel. I would consult with your own Plastic Surgeon to see what he recommends.
Hi, Mommak32. Each plastic surgeon has different surgical techniques and post-operative regimen. I routinely see my post-operative patients at 1 week, 2 week, 3 week, 6 week, 3 month, 6 month, and 1 year. However, depending on patients' needs, I would see them more or less. You need to check with your plastic surgeon what his/her normal routine is. Best regards.
Safety is the number one priority in surgery. For this reason for the procedures you are considering I perform them while the patient is under general anesthesia. This is both for safety and the patient's comfort. In addition it gives the surgeon the opportunity to optimize your results.
If your plastic surgeon is OK with it, it is OK to start back on your HCG drops. It may even help speed up your healing process.
If you have completed your antibiotics and are cleared by your physician that is treating your Lyme disease, than you may proceed with your mommy makeover.Good Luck!
