I had a consult with a plastic surgeon for a "mommy makeover", I am having a tummy tuck and breast enhancements at the same time. He stated he can do both the same day, using local anesthetic. Just want to know if this is safe to do, and if anyone has done this, how it went, and results were.

Answer: Mommy Makeover Under Local Anesthesia? You can technically do these procedures under local however it is not always what is best for you and your results. Whether you are a candidate to have this done depends on the extent of surgery required. This will require a very experienced anesthesiologist and surgeon. #Plasticsurgeryunderlocal #MommyMakeover #PlasticSurgery

Answer: Can I have a full tummy tuck and breast augmentation done under local anesthetic and sedation? Thank you for your question. I perform mommy makeover operations in an out patient surgery center, and under general anesthesia only. I work with Board Certified Anesthesiologists who monitor my patients so as to provide the safest environment. These are extensive procedures and I would recommend general anesthesia so that you are as comfortable/safe/immobile as possible during the procedures.I hope this, and the attacked link, helps. Best wishes.
