Hi Mustangs1,Thank you for posting your question and pictures. It seems that the alignment of the teeth are fine. Your lips at rest don't show your teeth. This has to do more with your lip length and muscle function. When you smile your lip curls inwards so it seems thinner. You can see an oral surgeon to improve it if you want to. There is a beauty secret I will share with you. When you don't like a particular feature on your face you can bring less attention to it and enhance the feature you do like. Most people don't look at us with the same scrutiny that we look at ourself. Hope that helps. Good Luck! Best,Dr. Supriya Verma
Well, the teeth do look straight and when you smile you do show about the ideal amount of tooth. Orthodontics looks fine. Your lips are what they are. Moving the teeth down would yield a gummy smile. Looks like a good compromise here.
So your tooth alignment looks really good from what I can see. As far as not liking the lack of "tooth display at rest", this is not really a tooth alignment issue. The reason you dont show a lot of tooth when you open your mouth is you have a slightly long upper lip. This requires a surgical correction to either raise the upper lip line or lower the upper jaw line in the front. A fairly expensive proposition. See an oral surgeon to evaluate your options.
