Fixing a new retainer

Question

I got my ivisiline retainers after two years of braces on Friday. On saturday I left for an out of town vacation and have noticed throughout the day that there is a sharp edge on it that is cutting my tongue. Is there anything I can do without damaging it while on vacation?

A nail file can often help smooth out the rough edge before
you can see your dentist so that you don't miss time on wearing it.

Sharp edges are certainly an annoyance on oral appliances. You could smooth the sharp edges off with a nail file or an emery board or even a piece of sandpaper.  Clean the retainer after doing that. see your dentist when you get back home.
