Can rib cartilage rhinoplasty last a lifetime?

I am considering diced cartilage fascia rhinoplasty (using rib and ear cartilage). I know there is a risk of warping, but can this method last a lifetime? I found a review of a patient who experienced small cartilage popping out of the nose tip after diced cartilage fascia rhinoplasty. Is this incident common?

This method is known for durability and stability of result. It is quite possible that small particle of cartilage protrudes through thin skin after few years; it may be technique dependent, but it is not frequent occurrence, based on our experience. You should discuss this issue with your surgeon and ask for his experience. Good luck.

There will be hardly any bruising and swelling which will make the recovery period a lot easier for the patient.
