I had an outstanding experience with Mr Paun from the very beginning. He is a highly professional, conscientious, and exceptionally skilled surgeon who immediately made me feel at ease. His calm, reassuring manner gave me complete confidence that I was in the safest hands. The open rhinoplasty procedure went smoothly at an excellent hospital, and now, just under three weeks post-operation, I am absolutely delighted with the results. The outcome already exceeds my expectations, and I look forward to seeing the final result as healing progresses. I would not hesitate to recommend Mr Paun to anyone considering rhinoplasty.
I had a revision rhinoplasty with Mr Paun last year. He was very thorough and attentive during the consultation. The procedure went very smoothly and I am very happy with my results. I have been back several times (for follow-ups as due to thicker skin the swelling was taking a bit longer to settle). He’s been absolutely lovely. I’ve had two rounds of steroid injections and the last round has been very effective.
I had been contemplating rhinoplasty for some time and decided to go for it in Autumn 2024. I made some enquiries and found out about Dr Santdeep Paun. I had my first consultation with Dr Paun at The Cadogan Clinic, and immediately felt that i was in a very professional and pristine environment. During my first consultation, Dr Paun explained everything, listened carefully to me and answered all my questions. I felt very confident that this is the Dr that i want to do my surgery, and very assured in my decision. He also showed me images of how i will look and explained what will change about the shape of my nose. I also was able to take time off work in December, and was conveniently offered the date of 5th December for my surgery. On the day of surgery, i started to feel slightly nervous, but staff were so kind, and there was also no waiting around - i arrived at the clinic early in the morning and was in surgery by 8am. I saw Dr Paun and the Anesthetist team before the surgery, and again felt reassured and confident about what was going to happen (one of the nurse team reassured me by confiding that she is also having rhinoplasty soon, and another staff member told me not to worry as Dr Paun is the "Ronaldo" of rhinoplasty!) When i woke up after surgery, i was taken to recovery, and Dr Paun came to see me and explained after surgery care instructions. I was given something to eat and drink, and a bag with my medication and instructions. I went home in the afternoon. After the operation, and throughout the entire recovery time, i felt absolutely NO PAIN whatsoever. In fact, i felt great and really enjoyed taking it easy at home for a couple of weeks. There was barely any bruising either, just a little bit under my eyes, which disappeared completely within a couple of weeks. A week after surgery, i went back to see Dr Paun and he removed the cast from my nose. We looked at the result together, and even though it was only a week after surgery, we were both very pleased. There was still quite a lot of swelling at the tip, which was a bit concerning to me at first, but Dr Paun assured me that it will subside. I followed the instructions of massaging the nose 3 times per day (Dr Paun even scheduled an additional Zoom meeting at my request, just to go over the massage technique) and taping the nose at night. Day by day, the swelling subsided and the shape of my new nose appeared. It is very natural and suits my face - Dr Paun straightened the nose, removed the dorsal hump, removed the droopy tip, made it narrower at the bridge, and made the nostrils narrower too. I am now 4 months post op and i am delighted with the shape of my new nose. Nobody has noticed, but i have received lots of flattering comments such as "You look well!" where people can see that my appearance is enhanced but not sure why! I have thick skin and am continuing with the taping at night, and am absolutely delighted with my new nose. It has made such a difference to my face and enhanced my confidence so much. This was my first operation ever - i have never had a general anesthetic or any surgery before in my life, so was a really big step. It was essential to me that i had the best surgeon for this once in a lifetime event. I am so very pleased with the result. Dr Paun is clearly an artist in his surgical ability, and has crafted the most beautiful, natural nose that perfectly suits my face.
I wish I had contacted Dr Paun years ago. I have finally fixed my sinuses, so I can sleep well. I am deeply grateful for his professionalism and expertise and highly recommend Dr Paun's services to all potential patients.
I cannot thank Mr Paun enough for achieving such a beautiful result that is beyond my expectations. The result is a very pretty natural looking nose. I spent 18 years agonising over my profile and feeling uncomfortable to smile due to being left with an unsightly nasal tip following four attempted revision surgeries to correct a broken nose. I will be forever grateful to him.
I have wanted a rhinoplasty since I was 15, following an injury that left me with a deviated septum and a noticeable hump on my nose that I always felt self-conscious about. Despite my long-held desire, fear of potential risks and negative outcomes kept me from moving forward for years. Finally, after extensive contemplation, I decided it was time. I sought advice from my trusted GP and good friend of 20 years, who recommended Dr. Paun without hesitation. My GP had referred several patients to him and was confident in his consistently excellent results. I met Dr. Paun on January 10th. During the consultation, he thoroughly examined my nose using a camera and confirmed my deviated septum. He listened carefully to what I hoped to achieve, explained realistically what could be done, and took photographs to create a simulation of the expected outcome. He patiently answered my numerous questions, giving me complete confidence in his expertise. I scheduled my surgery for February 11th. Prior to surgery, I had another reassuring consultation with Dr. Paun to review our plans and discuss any risks, giving me yet another chance to ask further questions. His calm and reassuring manner put all my anxieties at ease. Eight days after surgery, I saw the wonderful results for the first time when Dr. Paun removed the bandages. Even though it was still early in the healing process, my nose already looked beautiful, natural, and perfectly suited to my face—far better than even the simulation from our initial meeting. I am absolutely over the moon with the outcome and wish I'd done this years ago. Dr. Paun is truly an artist. The preparation process for surgery was smooth and straightforward. I received detailed documentation outlining exactly what to do before and after the procedure, ensuring I felt informed and prepared at every stage. Post-surgery, I had a few questions, and Dr. Paun promptly called me to address them. Additionally, his assistant Mo was extremely helpful and responsive whenever I emailed with questions, making the entire experience seamless. Today is day 12 post-surgery, and my recovery has been excellent. The first few days were challenging due to bruising and congestion, but the bruising has significantly faded, leaving only slight yellow discoloration on my cheeks and no facial swelling. Although Dr. Paun mentioned my nose was still somewhat swollen when he removed the bandages (which is normal at this stage), to me, it already looks incredible. I can't imagine it looking even better than it does now and can't wait to see the final result. My surgery took place at Weymouth Street Hospital, where the staff were attentive, caring, and supportive. On the day of the surgery, Dr. Paun, the anaesthetist, and the theatre head visited me, calming my nerves and ensuring I felt thoroughly cared for. Overall, I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Paun. He is an outstanding professional and a true artist. I am absolutely delighted with both the result and my overall experience.
I had a complicated case. My nose had been broken two times, once as a child and once as an adult. I had an unsuccessful rhinoplasty with another surgeon. My nose was extremely deviated (septum and externally) to one side and I could not breathe properly. Mr Paun was supportive throughout the process and realistic in what could be achieved. I am delighted with the result which is beyond my expectations. My nose is straight for the first time since I was a child, I can breathe and I don't mind having my photo taken! I feel like I have the nose I was supposed to have and can now move on with my life. I'm so thankful!
I had an incredible experience with my rhinoplasty with Mr Paun to straighten a severely deviated septum which meant I was unable to breathe through one nostril. I was very well-cared for with everything clearly explained each step of the way. The surgery at Weymouth Street Hospital was seamless, and the post-care exceptional. The results have far exceeded my expectations, and I couldn’t be happier with the outcome. Highly recommend!
I recently underwent a septorhinoplasty with Mr Paun and I couldn’t be happier with my experience and results. From the initial consultation, Mr Paun took the time to thoroughly assess my breathing difficulties and explain the recommended procedure in detail. He encouraged me to think carefully about the risks and benefits before arranging a second consultation in order to make an informed decision. The surgery itself went smoothly and the care I received from Mr Paun and his team was truly exceptional. My recovery process was well-supported with clear post-operative instructions and I felt reassured I could contact his team if I had any concerns. 8 weeks on, the difference is life-changing—I can finally breathe properly through my nose for the first time in many years! Not only has my breathing improved significantly, but I am also very pleased with the appearance of my nose. The subtle refinements have enhanced my confidence while maintaining a natural look, which is exactly what I wanted. I cannot recommend Mr Paun enough to anyone considering a septorhinoplasty or any relevant procedure. Thank you for giving me the ability to breathe comfortably through my nose and for an outcome that looks and feels amazing!
I always wanted a nose job as my large tip and wide bridge always affected my confidence growing up. From start to finish my experience with Santdeep Paun was amazing! In the initial consultation the 3D imaging was such a great help as I could see almost exactly what my nose would look like, with the choice of 2 different options (whether I wanted to reduce my nostril base as well or not). I think without the 3D imaging it would have been so hard to visualise what it would look like exactly on my face but seeing it in front of me, I was confident I was selecting the best option for me. The process was seamless and I didn’t have any bruising whatsoever and recovered without a hitch! I owe everything to Mr Paun, for my new found confidence! Best decision ever.
Thicker skin always takes longer to settle fully - the shrinkwrapping that occurs post op is slower and less complete. You have a little fullness in the supratip area rather than a real pollybeak. The first thing to consider is injection of steroid into this region which may well settle this down. Steroid injections are most effective sooner rather than later in the healing process so I would suggest seeking advice from your original surgeon about this as an option.
Implants in the nose can be problematic many years post op. They can protrude as in your case, potentially cause infections and then as the skin thins, even extrude out through the skin. Unfortunately I have had to remove many in the last year alone. The important thing is to get some good advice from a surgeon experienced with dealing with implant issues. If the implant is not getting infected, it may be fine to leave alone but probably needs close monitoring to ensure it is not getting too close to the skin edge. The worry is if the skin thins enough that the implant can come through and then it can leave a difficult scar. You will also have to discuss what to do if the implant is removed as you will need it replaced with something (usually your own cartilage). I suggest you see someone sooner rather than later before things get any worse.
I understand you believe you are having only minor changes but actually it is the lifting of the skin to access the tip and bridge of the nose that causes swelling. It depends a little on the thickness of your skin as to how quickly things will settle post op but 6 weeks is a little too close for comfort. Personally I advise 6 months minimum to have surgery before a "life event". I have had one patient who attended a famous awards ceremony (unbeknown to me before I operated on her) 2 months post op and was fine but you do take a chance. And this is even without the possibilty of you having any potential complications which might hamper the recovery. Personally I think just a little too close to be sure. But if you do decide to proceed, there is always make up which can hide things! Good luck and congrats on the wedding!
Yes - there is no contraindication to having both procedures. Get some good advice with a responsible rhinoplasty surgeon about your concerns but there generally should be no reasons why you cannot proceed.
Its always difficult advising by just looking at photos and so seek a good professional opinion by seeing someone face to face to discuss your concerns. Whilst I am happy to advise my patients, I always seek their concerns first. At the end of the day, it is your nose and you need to be aware of what it is you specifically dislike. Of course, a surgeon, may point things out but should not influence what you desire. Digital imaging (morphing) programmes may help but ultimately spend some time focussing on what you really don't like and use this as a basis to have a discussion with your surgeon.
