I got it done on 25th Oct and started using the topical cream from mid December. Have been religiously using sunscreen. i personally feel that they seem to be responding to the cream but it is very gradual and I am worried about its permanence and expected time for it to improve
Answer: Melarase creams for hyperpigmentation In my practice, I try to stay away from these combination regimens, as cortisones are non-selective inhibitors of melanocytes. I would recommend my patients to start Melarase AM and Melarase PM for the pigmentation. I would start with an intense skin rejuvenation protocol for age spots that includes fractional laser, Covalent chemical peels, and daily skin brightening creams to improve your skin’s complexion. Laser therapy, he adds, must be combined with a proper skin regimen to enhance and maintain youthful results. He recommends the following skincare products for dark age spots: Melarase MelaClenz Brightening CleanserMelarase AM: Day-time skin lightener with SPF 30Melarase PM: Night-time skin lightenerMelapads: Daily Exfoliating PadsReplenish Retinoid Cream: Exfoliating and skin-stimulating night creamBest, Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon

Answer: Yag and Hyperpigmentation and Asian Skin I am so sorry for your reaction. It appears that too much heat was used for your skin type and you now have these hyperpigmented area. Please continue to use a bleaching cream and Retin-A with strict sun avoidance and chemical peels to hasten the process. Please avoid the sun since this may take at least one year to resolve. Answer: Time and sun avoidance It looks like the yag laser overheated these areas and you became hyperpigmented. The good news is that the majority of hyperpigmentation resolves with time and avoidance of situations that aggravate the condition. I would continue with the sunscreen , make sure its a physical block such as titanium and or zinc and not an over the counter commercial sunscreen. The cream is likely going to help your condition by not allowing further production of melanin in the already darkened areas. In time about 95% of hyperpigmentation resolves on its own there are a few things you can do and in Singapore the Q switched laser is very popular. The use of a Q switched YAG has been used to hasten the resolution of hyperpigmented skin. It will take multiple treatments. I prefer the wide spot low fluence method which was popularized in Asia so I believe the majority of the physicians using this technology will be able to help you.
