Juvaderm 3 weeks ago, now have an unusual crease/wrinkle around my mouth which wasn’t there before. Why has this happened?

Thank you for your question! I'm sorry you are not having the best experience with your Juvederm.  It all depends where the filler was placed. Massage isn't recommended after injections to avoid movement of the product. It's best to follow up with your filler injector to discuss the new crease. 

Thank you for your question.  Without a photograph, it is difficult to comment on your result.  Since you are experiencing a new crease that was not there before, my advice is to follow up with your injector for an evaluation.  If the swelling is due to product, you may be able to have hyaluronidase injected to dissolve the area of concern.  Best of luck.

It is not possible to say with certainty what happened, especially without photos to demonstrate the change you refer to, but I am guessing you manipulated the Juvederm enough it moved (within the needle tracks) and caused asymmetric swelling.  I generally ask my patients to leave the treated area alone, and return in two weeks if anything is not to their liking.
