You have very nice skin. That is good news. In my hands, you would do best with a combination of submental lipo and/or tightening (possibly facetite, thermi...) then chin augmentation. Implant, fillers, fat we have plenty of options. It is all about creating nice balance with a sharp cervico-mental angle. Hot is Hot and that is an attractive feature in everyone.Hope this helps,Find a surgeon you trust and be clear with your goals.Best of luck,DrC
Hello, thank you for your question. Chin implant would produce a very nice change for you and improve facial balance. Liposuction under the chin may help as well. I recommend you to schedule a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon.
A combination of chin advancement (either chin implant or genioplasty) and jawline and submental liposuction would give you a more contoured and defined jawline. The most significant benefit will be the improve facial balance in both frontal and profile views.
You do appear to have some recession of your chin and this could be improvement with a chin implant. The size and style of implant could be determined at the time of a consultation. Liposuction under your chin could be considered as well.
You are a great candidate for a chin implant and some neck lipo done together. See the link below for examples.
Dear nikkirdg10,it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
While you have mentioned chin implant the reality is that your type of chin deficiency is best treated by a sliding genioplasty because of width concerns in the frontal view. But regardless of whether it is a chin implant or sliding genioplasty the determination of the dimensions of the augmentation desired requires computer imaging. As it is important for you to determine what type of chin augmentation change looks best to you.
In our practice for over 25 years, we have used Implantech brand of solid silicone chin implants. The far majority of patients receive either small, or a medium-sized pre-jowl chin implant, based on what each patient is trying to accomplish. The size, the shape, and thickness of the implant is usually determined at the time of the examination and consultation. Chin implants can be placed under local anesthesia as an outpatient procedure.
