Hi, I'm 20 years of age have a weight of 134lb and I am 5'9 tall. However I've always had problems with my "double chin". I was wondering if you can, based on the pictures rather recommend a chin implant or a liposuction beneath my chin?! Thank you
Answer: Retrognathia chin implant or fat injections
The angles and lines of the profile indicate that the chin is too far back. Either a chin implant, fat injections or oral maxillofacial surgery (which is a much large procedure and down time than the chin augmentation) can provide a better forward displacement of your chin. this will help your angle of the neck appear sharper. The lipopsuction of the neck can help this result but the chin augmentation appears to offer the most efficient procedure to obtain your desired result.

Answer: Consultation for Chin Implants Without an exam your question cannot be answered. You will need to see an Oral/Maxillofacial surgeon to see if othognathic surgery, genioplasty or using an implant is best for your specific case. It should be noted that patients with severely weak jaws or abnormally functioning jaws may be better treated with other facial surgery (orthognathic surgery), although a chin augmentation may be an option at a later time. These patients should seek the advice of a plastic surgeon to determine which course is right for them. Here is some information to help you make this decision: Candidates for Chin Augmentation - Patients whose chin profiles are weak but have normally functioning jaws are candidates for Chin Augmentation. Many of these candidates have used injectable fillers in the past to strengthen the protrusion of their chins, but are looking for a permanent solution. If you are one of these patients, then you are a likely candidate for chin augmentation

Answer: Chin implant and liposuction compliment each other - do both
Your presentation is a very common one. Liposuction helps. In addition, I prefer to remove some fat from below the muscle and tighten the muscle sling as well. This gets the best possible improvement of the jawline. Most nonsurgeons who treat this just use liposuction. Many plastic surgeons have the capability to do more.
You also have a recessed chin. It is common for me to insert a chin implant that wraps around the chin and further improves the jawline at the same time I perform the "submental lipectomy." The incision does not need to be any longer to accommodate the implant and it just adds to the result. Of course, it is important not to overdo it. Usually, none of your friends would be able to tell and it feels very natural. So it's like icing on the cake.

Answer: Chin Liposuction and Fat Grafting to the chin
Limited liposuction to the chin and minimal fat grafting to the chin could provide a beautiful, natural looking result.

Answer: Chin implant vs. lipo!
The question should be chin implant vs. lipo transfer not suction.
I used to do implant... today i exclusively do stem cell transfers.
(That is a grafting with stromal or adult stem cells and fat cells)
Transfer in chins like yours. Most of the time this is enough, but
Sometimes one needs a chin implant...but it is getting to be rare.
