Can I use a shampoo and conditioner on a regular basis 2 weeks after a FUT hair transplant? Is there a particular brand?

I plan to start using after 2 weeks of my FUT (1800 grafts), is it recommended? My hair get very oily and unmanageable after I wake up in the morning and hence I need to shampoo everyday. Is it ok and is there a particular brand I should be using? I am currently using Pure or Tea Tree hair thickening shampoo that is supposed to stop hair loss. And I don’t use a conditioner since it increases my hair loss. Should I be using a conditioner as well?

Thank you for your question. Yes, you may resume your typical shower routine but please keep in mind that your head might be a little raw after the NeoGraft so be mindful that you may have to treat your head gently during the recovery process. Always work with a board certified facial plastic surgeon.

2 weeks after surgery, it's fine for you to resume using your normal shampoo you used before. You can also wash your hair as often as you want. No worries.

Hello. At this point you are free to use whatever shampoo and conditioner you like, it will not harm your transplant. Conditioner is not a must but I think its good to apply at least once a week so that your hair doesn’t dry out too much. Good luck to you.
