You really can inject semaglutide anywhere you still have a little fat under your skin. It doesn't make a difference.
Hello and thank you for your question! After stomach liposuction, if you're using Zepbound or a similar medication, it’s important to choose the injection site carefully. Zepbound is typically administered subcutaneously into areas with sufficient fat. The common injection sites for subcutaneous injections are:Abdomen: This is the most common site, but since you've had stomach liposuction, you should avoid injecting directly into the treated area until fully healed. Wait until the swelling, bruising, and tenderness have resolved, and consult with your provider to ensure it’s safe.Thighs: The front or outer part of the thigh is another popular site.Upper Arms: The back or outer area of the upper arm.Buttocks: The fatty tissue of the buttocks is also a valid injection site.Tips:-Rotate injection sites to avoid irritation or tissue damage.-Avoid areas that are swollen, bruised, or healing from the liposuction procedure.-Always clean the injection site with an alcohol swab beforehand.-Follow the guidance of your prescribing physician or medical provider for post-lipo care and specific instructions regarding Zepbound.Best of luck! The medication should be injected into fat. You can consider the flanks or back of the arms as options. Rotate your injection sites for maximal absorption. Contact your provider if further clarification is needed.
I recommend avoiding the liposuction areas for 3 to 6 months. Inject into other areas and don’t inject in the same areas over and over as it can be associated with damage to the tissue.
You should inject tirzepatide or semaglutide into the subcutaneous tissue of your abdomen, which is the fatty tissue just beneath the skin. Even if you have already had liposuction, there will still be some fat where you can inject the product. Only a very small amount of fat is needed to do this injection.I hope this helps.Best wishes,Dr.Bruno
Zepbound (bimagrumab) is typically administered as a subcutaneous injection. After undergoing liposuction of the stomach, it's important to avoid injecting directly into the area that has been treated to prevent complications, such as increased pain, swelling, or infection. The best sites for subcutaneous injections include:1. **Thighs**: The outer part of the upper thighs is a common site for subcutaneous injections.2. **Upper Arms**: The back or side of the upper arms can also be a suitable site.3. **Buttocks**: The upper outer part of the buttocks is another option.4. **Abdomen (away from the treated area)**: If you choose the abdomen, make sure to inject at least 2 inches away from the navel and avoid the area that underwent liposuction. Always follow the specific instructions provided by your healthcare provider. They can give you personalized guidance based on your individual situation and ensure that you are administering the injection safely and effectively. If you have any concerns or experience any unusual symptoms, contact your healthcare provider immediately.
Inject to an area where you did not have the liposuction because the medication will not optimally be absorbed. If you had lipo in the stomach, inject in the anterior thighs. Just inject to a fatty area somewhere else.
After stomach liposuction, it’s recommended to avoid injecting Zepbound (or any medication) directly into the liposuction-treated area until it has fully healed. Typically, you should inject it in areas with adequate fat, like the outer thigh, upper arm, or lower abdomen away from the surgical site. Always follow your doctor’s specific guidance on where to inject post-surgery to avoid complications and ensure proper healing.
