Im very insecure about one spot of my forehead that is sunken in. I was considering getting dermal filler for it, but I heard that it’s very dangerous and can cause blindness. I also was curious about Botox because I have to intentionally lift my brows throughout the day or I look mad because they are naturally positioned lower. If those muscles were to relax, would that lessen the horizontal indent of my forehead?

Answer: How injectable treatments may be right for you Thank you for your question and photos. When administered by a skilled injector, dermal fillers are a good option to restore volume to shallow contours, such as the forehead indentation you’re referring to. You may also benefit from a collagen stimulator such as Sculptra which can gradually increase volume in this area. The results from dermal fillers can last for up to a year or more, while Sculptra results can last for up to two years. I recommend scheduling an in-person consultation with an experienced, board-certified injector who can assess your concern and determine the best treatment option for you.

Answer: Botox for forehead Hello Amanda! Great questions. Botox to the surrounding muscles may make the area more flat and in line with the depression. Fat transfer can work as well to add volume. This is harvested from around the belly button and should be done with finesse. The risk should in theory be lower due to using cannulas but you're correct regarding risk. Morpheus8 microneedling may help to tone the collagen and skin nearby. I would advise against an excision of the area as the scar may look unsightly. Hope this helps!
