Im very insecure about one spot of my forehead that is sunken in. I was considering getting dermal filler for it, but I heard that it’s very dangerous and can cause blindness. I also was curious about Botox because I have to intentionally lift my brows throughout the day or I look mad because they are naturally positioned lower. If those muscles were to relax, would that lessen the horizontal indent of my forehead?

Answer: Botox for forehead Hello Amanda! Great questions. Botox to the surrounding muscles may make the area more flat and in line with the depression. Fat transfer can work as well to add volume. This is harvested from around the belly button and should be done with finesse. The risk should in theory be lower due to using cannulas but you're correct regarding risk. Morpheus8 microneedling may help to tone the collagen and skin nearby. I would advise against an excision of the area as the scar may look unsightly. Hope this helps!

Answer: Forehead concavity Filler to correct contour deformity in the forehead requires injections that are deep to the vascular supply of the forehead that could lead to retrograde flow of filler and blindness. Contour injections in the forehead are safe and effective. Open surgical correction is also an option but a distant second in your case.
