I am a 38 year old woman who is considering rhinoplasty. Will my age affect the way I heal from the procedure at all? Is there any real difference in undergoing rhinoplasty in your late 30's versus your early 20's? Are there any negatives to having the procedure done at an older age versus a younger age?
Answer: Rhinoplasty Perfectly fine to have a rhinoplasty at your age. In older patients over 60 years old I worry about thickness of the skin but at your age you’ll be fine

Thank you for your question.As far as I can understand from your question. your age will not affect the healing process.I recommend you Rhinoplasty surgery.If you can provide photos with better lighting, from the side of your face and 1 meter away I would be able to make a proper evaluation. Answer: Age and rhinoplasty Rhinoplasty is performed, for many reasons, at almost any age. You age is NOT a concern at all. Someone's overall health is much more important than their numerical age. Diabetes, connective tissue disorders, and certain medications may adversely affect healing while those, and other conditions, can certainly play a role in anesthesia management.

Answer: Rarely too old for rhinoplasty, and 38 is Young! After 24 years of focusing on rhinoplasty, bruising is largely unpredictable. Bruising and swelling may resolve faster in some teen patients, but as long as you're healthy and have nasal issues suitable for rhinoplasty, your age should not be an issue. Thanks! Dr Joseph

Answer: Does the age of a patient who undergoes rhinoplasty affect the success and healing of the procedure? You are still very young , and as long as you are healthy and are a good candidate for Rhinoplasty - your healing should go well, keeping in mind that skin thickness may affect the final refinements. I suggest that you seek an experienced Board Certified PS who specializes in closed Rhinoplasty
