I am thinking of doing ultherapy and read somewhere to ask how old the machines are. Does it matter? Also are the doses of energy to the face standard depending on where the energy is directed (ie the lower face gets x dose, the forehead y dose, etc). Thank you!
Answer: Ulterapy and similar HIFU devices. In Australia there is only one original Ultherapy machine, however different transducers that treat at different depths. Then there are knock offs made in Korea known as Ultraformer or Ultratransformer- all a play on words for the original device. Always ask if you are getting Ultherapy from Ulthera. Dr Isobel Walker, Fiori. Brisbane.

Answer: Ultherapy Ultherapy machines do have different models, but the functionality is the same. The transducers used vary based on the patient's needs and goals. To make the experience especially comfortable, we use a topical anesthetic. Ultherapy is a great treatment to combine with other non-invasive treatments including non-ablative laser resurfacing with Frax 1550, as well as cosmetic fillers -- all depending on your desired results. Doing a consultation with a facial plastic surgeon is ideal as they know the facial anatomy best and which treatment(s) will produce the best results.
