When can I start working out again after the halo treatment?

I had a halo treatment done on my face 5 days ago. I have mends formed all over my face. I was told not to sweat for awhile after the treatment. When can I start working out again?

You can start working out 3 days after the treatment. By the third day the swelling subsides.

Great question.  Usually 2-3 days post HALO patients can comfortably sweat and not have irritation from the sweat.  It can be even sooner on a less intense treatment.

Thank you for your question. Technically, you can work out the day after your Halo treatment. However, the sweat can sting the fresh skin. So, it is really just when you are feeling up to it. At first, I would suggest starting with light to moderate exercise that won't produce so much sweat until you heal a little. This is a very common question. Depending on the settings used by your doctor, dwelling is variable. I advise my patients that you can resume reasonable, moderate, exercise when this swelling resolves. Usually 48 hours after treatment.

Halo can be controlled with both density, power (depth) as well as passes or overlaps. Downtime of 2 days to 7 days. Your Specialist will guide you as he or she would know the passes.
