Sun exposure should be avoided about two weeks after an IPL treatment. The skin is really sensitive after this type of treatment and tanning and direct sun light can cause hyperpigmentation and more redness to the area. Sunblock should be applied to the area that has been treated.

It is not recommended to have IPL while taking Accutane, and you should wait at least six months, if not one year after finishing the medication to undergo IPL. This can cause severe adverse effects and potential long-term scarring. Please be very cautious and consult with an expert.
