How do I get rid of ugly belly button piercing scar?

I had my belly button pierced years ago and the hole never closed. Shortly after taking out the piercing, I got pregnant and the scar stretched through pregnancy. I hate the appearance of the holes left behind. Is it possible to just stitch the hole back together (top one is worse) or do you have to cut out the scar tissue? I've heard it can be done under local...I don't care what it costs but I need a doctor in Seattle who has done this before!

Our treatments use combination therapy to improve the epidermis and dermis for most deep scars. The options available for acne scars depend on the character of your scars, in terms of topography and contour. We see atrophic and hypertrophic acne scars, as well as scars that have hypo and hyperpigmentation. We begin each scar evaluation with an assessment of scar quality and subtype. Our main concern is rebuilding collagen and that is why we use a HIDEF protocol that includes combination therapy. Morpheus 8, scar subcision, fibrous release, fractional laser, CO2 laser, Thulium laser, PDL Vbeam laser, and fractional resurfacing can be used in addition to TCA Cross and chemical peels to further improve skin. Patients should start Melarase AM and Melarase PM for active hyperpigmentation. Always begin with a consultation to decide whether early subcision should be started.

It is possible that your belly button piercing scar could be removed, but it would require surgery.  Most likely, this could be done under local anesthesia in the surgeon's office.  The tissue around the piercing needs to be removed and then the fresh wound can be sutured back together.
