To start you want to make sure your rhinoplasty surgeon is board certified in either facial plastic surgery or plastic surgery. Board certification in one of those fields isn't enough, though, as not all plastic surgeons regularly perform rhinoplasty.  It's important to find out how often your potential surgeon performs rhinoplasty.Equally important is to review the results of other patients the surgeon has performed surgery on. Doctors who have specific training in this area are Facial Plastic Surgeons and General Plastic Surgeons. Additionally, since experience and a sense of aesthetics vary greatly between surgeons, you should review prior work done by any prospective surgeon to see how he has handled cases that are similar to yours. Look at his "befores" and "afters".You should see how many rhinoplasties he does in a week and how many he has performed over his entire career. Also, does his idea of what would look good on you match yours? Do you know anybody who has gone to that surgeon for a rhinoplasty? Do any of the doctors you see for general medical care have any recommendations? And, finally, what is being said about him on the social media?
