I got 1 syringe of juvederm in my lips on Friday. This is my first time. Immediately after injection, i felt two hard lumps in my bottom lip. It is now sunday and ithey are still there. They are also numb. I also have two on my top lip that actually go up past the top of my lip toward my nose. Is this normal? Is it swelling or the juvederm. I have absolutely no bruising. Just these bumps. What should I do?

Answer: Bumps after juvederm in lips Lumps and bumps after juvederm and other fillers in the lips are very common in the first few days. Most often these are related to swelling around the fillers. For nodules, light massage, ice, and time with often reduce them; more vigorous massage should be avoided as it increases the chance for bruising. Swelling in the lips is most dramatic in the first few days. If nodules persist beyond 10 days, make an appointment to be evaluated by your physician. Visible or larger nodules may need to dissolved with hyaluronidase if they persist.

Answer: Bumps in lips after filler Bumps can occur after filler. I would gently massage these. If they are persistent after 10 days, call you doc to go in. They could represent filler or bruising beneath the surface. See link please.
