Consider that right after the BBL there is swelling in the injected area, and then the swelling goes away slowly, meaning that takes about 3 to 4 months for most of the swelling to go away, then is when the patient is going to see the final results from the surgery.Once the transferred fat to the buttocks survives, then the results last for years. It is important that the patient know that the transferred fat behaves as fat, so if the patient loses weight the transferred fat will shrink too, and if the patient gains weight, it will increase in size. I have patients who had the procedure done more than 10 years ago and they still have the volume from the BBL they got.
