I had Botox and lip injections. I left $100 tip, the lady asked if it was for Aesthetician or Injector Dr. Do Dr.'s take tips?

Each practice will be different, but most Doctor's won't accept tips, but tips can be given to aestheticians. Best, Dr. Emer

Great question. At our practice the physicians don't expect a tip and we don't accept the tips either. The aestheticians are tipped if they do a good job and that's pretty much normal all over the country to tip aestheticians if some likes to. 

In our practice, I perform all injectable procedures, and tipping would be unnecessary, unexpected, and not accepted. After performing relaxing HydraFacials, our aesthetician has received tips graciously for jobs well done! Hope this helps, and thank you for your generous question! Dr Joseph

I don't take tips. I don't think most doctors do, but situations vary if they only work part time or are slowing the practice down. I suggest you clarify this situation next time you go in. Patients drop off "gifts" for me in appreciation like wine, cookies, ties, etc... All the time.Best wishes, Dr. ALDO 

There is no tipping of doctors or nurses at Med Spa. I think most places don't tip medical aesthetitians or medical assistants as well. So you can feel well. Writing a review would be the best tip you can leave if you are satisfied with their service.

No we do not take tips for medical procedures.We appreciate the sentiment. Patients who want to show their appreciation can do so by telling their friends about their experiences or leaving a great review.

Doctors should not be getting tipped.  If anything does get tipped it should go to the staff that make the clinic possible or the aesthetician that did the procedure.  Good luck.

It is a great thing to be sincerely appreciated and it's also correct to think that Doctors don't need to get tipped, specially if they head the practice. Some med-spas have a common fund where all tips go and there is a more equitable distribution of gratuity. You are the client and you should decide who to tip. In any case, doctors benefit more from a good word about their service, a review or a thumbs up on SNS.

Good Day. Thank you for your question.That is so kind of you. I don't personally take monetary tips, however, many patients bring in food and wine for my staff and myself. We do appreciate their friendship and satisfaction. The entire aesthetic experience is a group effort.The best way for my patients to show me their appreciation is to present their feelings in a review. A physician works as a team with their patient, office personnel including receptionist, aesthetic consultant and all assistants. The aesthetic outcome is a result of the combined approach displayed by everyone. Have a wonderful day!
