Botox may be able to temporarily alleviate the pain you are feeling due to the injection causing the masseter muscles to relax. Because you are in so much pain it is definitely worth giving it a try. In regards to the facial shape, specifically the double chin and weak jawline you are noticing, Botox can help diminish the size of the masseter muscle, making the appearance of the lower face less square. However, it will not change the appearance of a double chin or weak jawline.

Hi j.bella,So sorry to hear about all of your stress. Given the amount of pain you are in, and the excellent safety profile of Botox, I think it is probably worth trying. Botox can be very helpful for TMD and migraines; however, it does not work for everyone. In terms of aesthetics, keep in mind that Botox is injected into the masseter muscles, which are at the back of the jawline (towards your ear), so will not affect the fullness you are seeing closer to your chin. Botox can be a great treatments for TMJ condition and when done properly, it can improve pain and tightness as well as several other symptoms. It is important that you see an experienced doctor who is familiar with Botox TMJ treatments.
