I have a mole in my hair that I would like to have removed because it is pretty big. I am a guy and I keep my hair pretty short. Is there a way that the wound can be stitched closed more tightly in a way that doesn't result in a bald spot? If so, is there a certain kind of dermatologist that I should see for this type of thing?

Occassionally normal moles do change. It is best be evaluated in person by dermoscopy and if necessary a biopsy. Delaying seeing a dermatologist is delaying resolving the issue.
The rest of the scab will fall off in a few days. Keep it moist and do not pick.It can be reevaluated in about six weeks if any scar cream is necessary.
If you are worried about having an infection, it's probably wiser to turn off your computer and go see somebody who can evaluate it and give you a prescription for an antibiotic if needed. The red border around the wound might be inflammation or infection.I hope, since this response it two days...
