Will I have a bald spot after I have mole removed from my head?

I have a mole in my hair that I would like to have removed because it is pretty big. I am a guy and I keep my hair pretty short. Is there a way that the wound can be stitched closed more tightly in a way that doesn't result in a bald spot? If so, is there a certain kind of dermatologist that I should see for this type of thing?

The good news is that typically when I remove
scalp nevi (moles) I will usually use a "shave excision" method. The
mole is actually "shaved off" at a very superficial level just below
the surface of the skin. No stitching is required. This method is quite effective to remove moles and
generally leaves a minimal scar. Almost no hair is removed or destroyed. The
procedure typically takes less than a minute, and is fairly painless. Moles
that are removed in this fashion will rarely recur enough to be bothersome. Dermatologic surgeons
are experts at doing this procedure.
