3 months post Morpheus8, still having redness and grid marks (Photo)

Question

Hi! I had 1 session of Morpheus8 on my abdomen in November 2023. Since the procedure the redness and grid marks have yet to go away. I have been in constant contact with the Medspa where I received treatment and they continue to say it was go away with time but I am not confident with that answer. I have tried a steroid cream, Hydroquinone cream and a Retinol, none of which have reduced the redness or grid marks. Does anyone have other advise on what I should do? Thanks!!

Morpheus 8 is a non-invasive skin and soft tissue tightening treatment that is consistently amazing in our patients. We use the Morpheus to exact fractional induced RF into the skin or tissue in order to tighten collagen and stimulate contraction of the tissue. For acne scars, it is quite useful to build collagen in patients who have atrophic scars but is not very productive for ice-pick scars which require TCA Cross. For tissue tightening, Morpheus is ideal for the face and neck and we often combine it with CO2 laser or Ultherapy to further enhance results. Chemical peels and skin resurfacing should be done at least 5 to 7 days after, but can be performed earlier, depending on treatment severity. Avoid exfoliating skin treatments before Morpheus and expect a period of 2-4 weeks for skin contraction to set in.

From the looks of your picture, it is possible that the setting used were too strong or too deep for your skin and you experienced some actual burning.  The end hyperpigmentation can be a long term consequence.  This looks like long term burn scarring and may not go away,  There is one possibility of a resurfacing treatment but i would hesitate with your burn damage.

It looks like the radio frequency settings were too high and they have post inflammatory hyperpigmentation. The best thing to do is what you have already been doing; hydroquinone, retinol, and hydrocortisone/steroid cream. Also avoiding sun exposure to the area at all costs, but it will just take time for this to fade.
