I'm looking at doing Morpheus8 3 months after lower eyelid bletharoplasty to help tighten and lift my eye area. What is the recovery like? Are the results as great as it's been advertised?
Answer: Morpheus 8 Morpheus8 is primarily designed to improve skin texture, firmness, and tightness by stimulating collagen production in the deeper layers of the skin. While it can certainly improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles around the eyes and may contribute to a subtle tightening effect, it's not specifically intended for lifting the eye area. When considering treatments for lifting the eye area, it's essential to explore options that specifically target the muscles and tissues responsible for supporting the eyelids and brows. Surgical procedures like blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery) or brow lift surgery are common options for lifting and rejuvenating the eye area. Non-surgical alternatives for lifting the eye area may include: Botox (Botulinum Toxin): Botox injections can temporarily relax the muscles that cause crow's feet and brow furrows, resulting in a smoother appearance and a subtle lift around the eyes. Dermal Fillers: Hyaluronic acid fillers can be strategically injected around the eyes to add volume and provide lift, reducing the appearance of hollows and shadows. Ultherapy: This non-invasive ultrasound treatment targets the deep layers of tissue to stimulate collagen production and tighten skin, offering subtle lifting effects around the eyes and brows. Thread Lift: A thread lift involves inserting dissolvable threads beneath the skin to lift and reposition sagging tissues, including in the brow and eye area. Before pursuing any treatment for the eye area, it's crucial to consult with a qualified dermatologist or plastic surgeon. They can assess your specific concerns, discuss your goals, and recommend the most suitable treatment options based on your individual needs and preferences. Additionally, they can provide information about potential risks, downtime, and expected outcomes to help you make an informed decision.

Answer: Morpheus8 is a great option to help target loose skin under the eye Morpheus 8 is a non-invasive skin and soft tissue tightening treatment that is consistently amazing in our patients. We use the Morpheus to exact fractional induced RF into the skin or tissue in order to tighten collagen and stimulate contraction of the tissue. For acne scars, it is quite useful to build collagen in patients who have atrophic scars but is not very productive for ice-pick scars which require TCA Cross. For tissue tightening, Morpheus is ideal for the face and neck and we often combine it with CO2 laser or Ultherapy to further enhance results. Chemical peels and skin resurfacing should be done at least 5 to 7 days after, but can be performed earlier, depending on treatment severity. Avoid exfoliating skin treatments before Morpheus and expect a period of 2-4 weeks for skin contraction to set in. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon

Answer: Morpheus8 for lower eyelids Morpheus8 works great for the lower eyelids! The subdermal adipose remodeling that is coupled with the collogen stimulation can help shrink the fatty pockets and tighten the skin. Results usually take about 3 treatments and will last with potentially 1 touchup every 6-12 months. The great thing with Morpheus8 is the handpiece tip can be changed to a smaller delicate one which is perfect for the eyelids. As an oculoplastic surgeon, I have used this technology in lieu of a surgical lower lid blepharoplasty especially when there is not a lot of eyelid laxity to address.
