If I have a high WBC of 14.8, can I still get my breast augmentation?

Most doctors would recommend rescheduling the procedure when there are signs of an active infection. The risks of surgical infection outweigh the inconvenience of delaying the surgery.

Hold off. Any remaining infection in your body may increase the chances of seeding the area around your breast implant which can cause complications down the road. It's not worth the risk.

It would not stop me from going through with the surgery. It’s only slightly high. I don’t think it would delay your surgery but of course it’s totally up to your surgeon.

you should be healthy prior to elective procedure such as breast augmentation. Active infection in your body can cause severe complications in case you get breast implants. I would suggest you to consult your plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.

This question can only be answered by your surgeon. It is best to be free from infection when you have your procedure but your surgeon will be the one to determine if it is safe for you proceed.

It is best not to place any foreign body such as an implant into your body if you are fighting an active infection. The final decision will have to be made between you, your surgeon, and anesthesiologist. Hope this helps!

You need to discuss this with your surgeon. No one's opinion will really mean much at this point, except for your surgeon. I personally would postpone your surgery until you had normal results to make sure all signs of the infection are cleared.
