When can I get fillers after upper bleph?

Question

Hi, how long do I have to wait after upper bleph to get fillers to the upper eyelid? Is 3 months ok? (I had too much fats removed causing the area to be sunken in and the crease is not forming properly probably because of that, looking more like "A" shape then the usual round curve shape)

this can be done a few weeks after bleph but if you want to be "conservative" waiting 6-12 weeks Is fine. do It with cannula and softer fillers like refyne, belotero, or volbella (see my youtube upper eyelid restylane, asian eye). Combined proper skincare to help improve your scar and maintain the filler (see link).  Best, Dr. Emer.

Waiting until three months after surgery should be adequate to get fillers.  You will want to ensure that the swelling is resolved and that you have no complications during healing.  I encourage you to meet with an experienced injector for your treatment.

I would wait 3-6 months to let any post surgical swelling resolve. Upper eyelid injections require a good understanding of anatomy and advanced injection skills so I would see someone experienced for the filler injections.

I hope you're going to a different plastic surgeon to have your upper eyelids corrected. You're better off in having fat transfer done than fillers in the upper eyelid area because it will give you a natural and permanent results as long as it's done by a plastic surgeon who is well versed in fat grafting techniques. I find that in the majority of patients, upper blepharoplasty is not even necessary because the restoration of a youthful upper eyelid can be done with fat grafting alone. Hi there,
It is typically best to wait at least 6 months, if not longer. Although most of the swelling has gone and the eyelid shape is close to its final result from surgery by 6-9 months, there can be minor residual swelling. 
Certain type of filler can work in that area. Also I have had good success with autologous fat grafting in the hollowed upper eyelids who want a more permanent solution. Thanks for your question; Hope this helps!

Thanks for your question. Not only will it guide others in your situation, but may save many people your problem by having them ask about fat removal before undergoing upper blepharoplasty. This is, unfortunately, an all too common problem. For many years I have rarely removed fat from the upper lids, and, when I have, only from a very congenitally prominent medial compartment. I also know of very few blepharoplasty experts that now remove fat either. As to your question, you can use a filler relatively soon. However, I would highly recommend waiting 3-6 months or so and, instead of filler, using fat. The time allows the tissues to relax and revascularize before injecting the fat. This, in my experience, has provided much better more long lasting and natural results.
