Please help. I had upper eyelid surgery carried out and am really worried that the asymmetry is really noticeable. The incision lines also look uneven. Is there a possibility this will even out on its own or do I need more surgery? Thanks.

Answer: Asymmetry Your photos do show some asymmetry however more information is needed to determine if further correction is indicated. You need to wait until you are fully recovered from surgery and swelling has resolved. Typically this is around six months after your procedure. I encourage you to discuss your concerns with your surgeon as she/he is most familiar with the details of your surgery and how you've been progressing through recovery.

Answer: It's still earlly Dear Modest, You don't mention how long ago your surgery was, but you probably need more time to allow all the swelling and final contouring to take shape before you panic over asymmetry. It takes a good six months for everything to settle, and remember that there is no such thing as perfect symmetry. You were not symmetric before surgery and won't be after surgery. If you are still upset after six months, revisit your surgeon and ask what can be done. Best wishes to you!!
