Hate the results of my breast augmentation. They've also been left numb and cold. Is mastectomy an option?

I had breast augmentation to correct tuberous breasts. The surgery gave me nice looking breasts but I hate the feeling of them. They feel fake, they're uncomfortable when exercising. I hated them before, I hate them now. On top of that, they basically lost all sensation after the surgery. They're just these decorative things on my chest and I'm tired of being disgusted by them. I want to have my breasts removed. Is this something surgeons would be willing to do?

Thank you for your question. You do have tuberous breasts, your right breast is a higher grade than your left breast. This can be corrected with surgery by releasing some of the scar tissue, resizing the areola, and placing an implant. Good luck.

Your breasts are widely separated and pointing outward. The technique I recommend is a mini lift. Using a circumareola incision, your breast tissue is reshaped, elevated higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Hi, thank you for sharing your question. Based on these photos, you do not appear to have tuberous breast deformity but are a good candidate for breast augmentation if you wish.
