A lip lift required a cut at the nose-face junction. The scar usually heals very well. However, the scar can separate and become large. This may be the horror stories you are referring to. The key to a lip lift is using a long term self dissolving suture in a deep dermal layer. The suture I recommend is PDS that lasts 6 months. This minimizes the scarring effect.

Hello, as far as I can see from your photos, you are suitable for lip lift. I still need to know if your gums show when you smile. If it does, the lip lift may not be suitable. If you have the lip lift done by a doctor who has experience in this field, you will not encounter any negative situations. The scar of the lip lift also becomes invisible over time. However, here, your skin structure and wound healing will be similar to your other wound healings.

I have done lip lifts for many years before in became so popular and generally accepted procedure. Having done several hundreds of lip lifts, I must say that this is one of the most satisfying procedures in my long carrier in plastic surgery. The great majority of my patients are ecstatic about their results, because the results have been mostly perfect.
