I am really unhappy with the aesthetics of my lower face. I have a weak jaw and although I don’t think my chin is recessed as such I just have a really short lower third of my face from most angles. Would a chin implant help this? Or would that only create a more horizontally prominent chin? Thank you.

Based on your photos, I believe you would enjoy the appearance of a chin implant, since you have somewhat weak chin projection on profile. I am not certain, however, that the shadowing you describe will improve. Since your chin will be projected forward, the labiomental crease may deepen....

Chorus implants have advantages and disadvantages.
They tend to be more difficult to remove because they allow in growth of tissue.
I suggest consulting with plastic surgeons and oral surgeons who have formal cranio facial surgery backgrounds.
