It’s never a yes, or no answer, which is often what people are looking for. There are a number of variables that have to be taken into account. One is that your current distribution is highly uneven from the previous Liposuction. Grafting tissue to compensate for the uneven is really really difficult. You were also suctioned very aggressively leaving very little post tissue, and this host tissue is uneven. This may lead to an uneven survival of grafted fat. Building up a fat layer that isn’t even may not be serving you all that much advantage, but if done correctly, it might. on top of this, you also have some skin laxity. I question if you were a good candidate for Liposuction in the first place. To make an accurate assessment regarding the outcome of a procedure we always have to see proper before and after pictures. If you don’t have before, and after pictures and ask your surgeon to forward, the pictures they took. by seeing what you look like before the procedure, we understand your candidacy for the procedure and not understanding if you were a good candidate for the procedure gives us vital information we need to know. If someone wasn’t a good candidate for Liposuction, and had poorly done Liposuction then it is questionable if adding fat is really gonna make Enough difference to justify the procedure. If you want to start working towards improving this, the first step is going to be the same, regardless. It is to find a provider who has enough skill and experience to make things better, and not make it worse. Simply, finding as sufficiently experience provider is not easy at all. The number of plastic surgeons who have truly mastered both Liposuction and fat are a fairly small minority. You could attempt a first session of that transfer and see what the results look like. If it made a modest improvement, then you could continue working with that provider until the final outcome is acceptable. It will most likely take several procedures to get sufficient improvement. I’m sorry that you find yourself in this situation. For those who have not already had surgery A went to emphasize the importance of provider selection, and the importance of vetting providers before you have surgery. To do this, I recommend patients have as many in person consultations as possible. During each consultation, ask each provider to open up their portfolio and show you their entire collection of before, and after pictures of previous patients, who had similar facial characteristics to your own. An experienced provider should have no difficulty showing you the before and after pictures of at least 50 previous patients. Being shown a handful of pre-selected images, representing only the best Outcomes of a providers career is insufficient to get a clear understanding of what average results look like, what your results are likely to look like or how many of these procedures they’ve actually done. I recommend doing the same when looking for providers to do revision work since revision work is many times more difficult than primary procedures. I think the best you can help for from your current provider is to get a refund For the money you spent. Being bored, certified, and plastic surgery does not mean somebody is mastered anyone single procedure especially not Liposuction. Some improvements can definitely be had but you’ll most likely require a substantial amount of work to find the right provider, then being open to having multiple procedures. Best, Mats Hagstrom, MD
