Will my face turn back to normal (pre-Botox)?

Typically, Botox effects last about 3–6 months, which is when the muscle gradually regains movement. Most people notice that their face starts looking more “natural” as the Botox wears off. However, it’s not unusual for it to take a little longer in some cases, especially if it was your first treatment or if higher doses were used for muscle spasm. Your muscles might take extra time to fully regain strength, and your skin may still be adjusting to the return of normal muscle movement.

It’s also worth noting that repeated Botox treatments can sometimes make muscles slightly slower to recover fully, but this is usually temporary. Over time, your face should continue to return closer to your pre-Botox appearance.

If the difference is significant or worrying, a follow-up with the provider who administered the Botox can help assess muscle function and confirm everything is returning to normal.
